Many of us have hit the wrong button on our computer and lost valuable documents, photos or other files. This is when a file recovery program comes handy.
Ibeesoft Data Recovery is one of such programs. It scans any storage device and searchs for lost and/or deleted files.
Once you have started the program, the available devices, as well as the Recycle bin and Desktop folders will appear. You need to choose the device where your data were stored. You can further customize the search by choosing any other folder where the files were stored. This also will shorten the search process.
When you hit the Scan button, the program will start searching lost files. The program works fast, although this depends on the speed of your system. The program also shows the progress, the files found, and the time remaining.
Once the scanning has finished, you can choose the files you need to recover, and hit the Recover button. The program will start retrieving the selected files and saving them in the folder you have previously chosen.
A disadvantage I found was that the program's interface does not fit in a conventional computer screen; I needed to use a wide-screen laptop to test the program.
The shareware version only allows you to scan the device from which you want to recover your files, and visualize the results. If you want to actually recover your information, then you will need to purchase a license.
